Guidelines

Check-in time: Guests should respect the check-in time and should not check in before the time of 4:00 p.m. without prior approval.
Checkout time: Guests should complete checkout by 10:00 a.m. and should not leave belongings at the Premises past the designated checkout time for storage or later pickup without prior approval.
Emergency Number: Dial “911” for immediate emergency assistance. For all other non-life-threatening emergencies, please call Campus Safety: 704-233-8999
After Hours Property Management: For any immediate emergency repairs needed concerning the property, please contact Integrity Rental Services Maintenance Number at 1(617) 606-9034 (text) or (980) 313-3370 (call). For all other repairs, please let us know upon checkout.
No-Smoking: All forms of smoking inside the Premises is strictly prohibited.
Barbecue/Grilling: Personal barbecue grills, propane, charcoal, electric or other similar devices are not permitted on the Premises.
Candles, Kerosene Lamps, Etc.: Candles, kerosene lamps, or heaters are not allowed.
Pets Not Allowed: Guests should not bring any pets inside the Premises. Note that support or service animals are not considered pets in this instance and if on the Premises, then certain documentation is required.
Quiet Hours: Guests should respect designated quiet hours between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. and should not disturb the surrounding community with a disruptive level of noise (loud music, shouting, slamming doors, etc.).
Parking: All vehicles must park in the designated Wingate University parking space(s) at all times when parked on the Premises.
Trash: Guests should put trash in designated trash receptacles and be mindful of excessive amounts of trash. If needed, a designated dumpster is located behind the apartment building.
Damage: Where guests cause damage that is beyond normal wear and tear, we expect guests to inform the University of the damage as soon as possible and work with the University to find a reasonable solution. Guests are expected to pay reasonable requests for reimbursement if they’re responsible for damage, missing items, or unexpected cleaning costs.

- Java the Cup – A cozy local coffee shop with specialty drinks and baked goods. Great for a quick breakfast or study break.
- Pizza Hut – Familiar favorites including pizza, breadsticks, and wings.
- Tokyo Bistro – Casual spot offering hibachi and Japanese entrées. Hot tip: they have a drive through pick up window!
- McDonald’s – Fast, convenient burgers, fries, and breakfast options.
- Andrew’s Family Restaurant – Classic Southern comfort food in a relaxed setting.
- Great China – Popular for takeout Chinese dishes like lo mein, fried rice, and General Tso’s chicken.
- El Palenque – Mexican restaurant known for generous portions and traditional dishes.
- Burger King – Quick service burgers, fries, and breakfast sandwiches.
- Social House –Local bar and hangout spot owned by Wingate alums! Not a restaurant and does not serve food, but will occasionally have food trucks. Must be 21 or older to drink.
- Dave’s Pizza (Marshville) – Worth the short drive for New York-style pizza and local flair.
Monroe (about 15 minutes away) offers a wide variety of dining options, from local favorites to upscale sit-down restaurants. A few highlights:
- Spiro’s Hilltop – A Monroe staple serving Greek and American classics; known for friendly service and generous portions.
- Taqueria La Única – Authentic Mexican street-style tacos and fresh salsas.
- The Smoke Pit – Highly rated BBQ restaurant featuring smoked meats, sides, and craft cocktails.
- Main Street Bistro – Upscale casual dining with seasonal menus and a cozy downtown vibe.
- Franklin Court Grille – Refined Southern-inspired cuisine in a historic setting; great for a nicer dinner.
