Free Enterprise Leadership Challenge

When the Jesse Helms Center was founded in 1988 Senator and Mrs. Helms wanted the Center to create programs for young people. In 1995, The Free Enterprise Leadership Challenge (FELC) began. Our goal is to reach and teach young men and women about freedom, liberty, leadership and what makes America great.

FELC is a five-day summer program open to high school students entering the 10th, 11th and 12th grades held on college campuses around the country. Additionally, we host virtual sessions throughout the year.

FELC has graduated over 11,000 students in 27 years.

Summer 2024 registration will be open soon.
